Bronze IAB in Zinc from SHUCo 41. Note that this is a bronze version but to get the necessary detail in the photos the Obverse looks “washed out” this is a Camera / Image issue only.
Please be sure to study badges from this manufacturer in detail as they are (a) relatively easy to encounter and (b) IAB’s from this manufacturer were heavily copied.
A bronze GWL marked IAB. Photos are a little washed out so the Bronze colouring doesnt really show well but the important details of the badge manufacture can be seen.
Solid back Wiedmann UU IAB in Silver grade award.
Bronze IAB manufactured by RS
Bronze IAB from the manufacturer L/51. A lot of the bronze wash has dissapeard with the passage of time but can be seen clearly in the close ups further down the page.
Wiedmann attributed IAB in Bronze with the “standard” reverse hinge and catch setup.
Bronze IAB with maker mark FLL inside three circles. Note both the interesting Hinge mechanism on the combat badge as well as the stylization of the vertical components of the Manufacturers marking.
An India General Service medal IGS 1895 or IGS2 (2nd iteration) in Bronze to a native soldier or support trooper. Unfortunately the worst condition of all medals in my collection with the soft bronze and hard life in India contributing to many dents, scratches and edge knocks. As usually encountered the soliders name has been engraved around the rim of the medal but it is illegible.
